Essential Oil Display Rack

So now you have all these wonderful Essential Oils. First there are only a couple on your counter top. Then you are out wandering around your favorite shops and you find a few more oils you haven’t tried. Next week a few more. Oh Yes, you can easily end up with quite a few of these pretty little bottles all over the place! Here are a few ideas for you to store all of your precious Essential Oils.

Beautiful Essential Oil Metal Tree Rack

  • 5 Tier Display Rack
  • Beautifully Displayed
  • All Your Oils Organized
  • Convenient
  • Can be hung anywhere
  • Size 23.62″ L x 2.25″ W x 23.62″ H
  • Bird and Tree Silhouette
  • Sturdy High Quality Metal Black Finish

Easy to Install Essential Oil Shelf Wall Mount

You will find this very easy to install. There are only 3 screws to put in the wall and that is it. Took me less than 10 minutes to put up.

I am completely happy with this rack. It is gorgeous on my wall, it is lightweight, it is nicely constructed. I really love it and wouldn’t want to be without it. Now my oils are all in one place and I am truly happy.

Beautiful Way to Display Essential Oils

This shelf looks so good – I have a country home and this fits right in. It looks like wrought iron – it is not, but it resembles it and goes with anything as it is black. Even if I lived in a mansion in the city – this would look good. The design, a bird and a tree with leaves fits into any decor and it spans any age group.

Organizing Essential Oils

Not only is this shelf beautiful – It keeps all your oils organized and convenient. No more bottles falling over in a drawer, or sitting on a counter and getting pushed around. You can put them in alphabetical order or you can put your favorite oils on the bottom shelf for easy access and the less common ones higher up. Whatever you decide is perfect. This is so versatile you can set it up anyway you want. Also, if you have room left over you can store your nail polish on it also, or perfume bottles. Come up with your own ideas.

Size and Construction

This shelf is 23.62 inches across, it is 23.62 inches tall and it is 2.25 inches wide. There is a bar that goes across the front of the bottles to hold them in place and stop them from falling to the floor. It is made out of high quality metal, 5 shelves of varied lengths and is very sturdy.

Free up your drawer

Safe keeping your oils up on a wall, out of harm’s way and freeing up your drawers – what can be better than that? My husband doesn’t mind my oils – in fact he likes them quite well – what the both of us didn’t like is that they were all over the house. It was worth the small price to get all my oils all in one place. I can even put two oils front to back. So if I have two Lavender Essential Oils – I can put one in front and one behind it. Always have a back up on hand and still no clutter in the house. Gotta Love It.

In Conclusion

I guess you know by now – I am a fan and I think you will be too. Feel free to click on the links in this post – they will take you right to the page in Amazon you can purchase the Essential Oil Display Rack. This is an affiliate link so I will get a small incentive payment from Amazon, this will affect your price in no way at all. It does help me out to continue to write here and bring you all these great items. I truly appreciate the support I get from all my readers. I did you a huge favor because I found this on a few different sites and the prices were higher. This was the best deal around. You are welcome.

Essential Oil Shelf for a Gift

Would this be great for a gift. I would say it is. Give this rack and maybe start out someone with 5 favorite essential oils and there will be one more person that has joined our family of people that are crazy over oils.

Another Similar Item

As I was researching this item. I did find one that was similar – yet it was a two piece unit. I like this one as it is one piece and very easy to put up. I do not know what the advantage to having this in two pieces would be. One piece unit means no seams to worry about and the design flows nicely. Take Care Everyone and when you buy yours – please stop back in and let me know how you liked it. Thank You in advance.

Essential Oils and Their Uses

Essential Oils Guide List

Have you ever started looking up Essential Oils? Ever wonder which oil is best for which purpose? Ever think to yourself “I really want to use an Essential Oil for (whatever ailment you are looking to remedy) only to find one you just do NOT like the scent of – and wonder – Is there another one that would do the same thing that I might actually like better?

At the end of this post you will find a PDF to download – FREE – that will assist you with your Essential Oil Journey. It is not 100 percent the only oils and only choices, yet I believe you will find a ton of information and I plan to update this periodically so you may want to bookmark this article and check back and download a newer version at a later time.

Healing with Essential Oils

Essential oils are the oils that are found naturally in the parts of certain plants. The stems, the leaves, the flowers can all contain oils that can be used to heal. These plants which yield essential oils are also used in medical herbalism. The oil from the plant can have different therapeutic qualities vs using the same plant as a tincture, by preparing the leaves in a tea, cooking in food, or grinding up in a capsule. Plants are amazing and give us so much in so many ways and all the ways compliment each other. I have found along the way that I use plants in many ways to heal and to comfort. Healing with Essential Oils is only one way plants assist us and I must admit, my favorite way. I so enjoy a cup of tea along with my Essential Oils diffusing into the room. I bet you are envisioning me sitting back in a recliner, bath robe on and towel around my hair, with a cup of tea and a diffuser steaming away at my side. You would probably be pretty close to my “happy place”, Take a look at the PDF I have offered here at the bottom of this post and I will even put in a second PDF that I created a year or so ago. The second one is Herbs that Heal. I hope you enjoy them both. Remember, they are not to replace your doctor. I am not a professional health care worker. I am just a lady that enjoys natural living and I enjoy passing on what I have found to others. Anything here is for reference only. And of course, to Enjoy.

Example of Entire Plant vs Essential Oil

Let’s take a look at Peppermint. I will use Peppermint because most of us are familiar with the smell, the taste, the uses. The Peppermint Essential Oil is best suited for treating respiratory conditions when inhaled because peppermint is an antispasmodic oil and it also has antiseptic qualities. It can open your airways and make breathing easier for a while after it is inhaled. Peppermint is also great for digestive disorders yet that is best served by using the leaves and stem of the plant and taking it orally either in a tea or tincture. Each way you use a plant – either an oil or another way – It is important to make sure what you are using is prepared properly. Stay with a company you can trust or you may even create it yourself after you do enough research to create the product correctly. Essential Oils can be very helpful and in turn – if used incorrectly can be very harmful. They are very potent and are not to be used as a toy.

Can Essential Oils Be Taken Internally

It is best to use Essential Oils externally only. Essential Oils are extremely concentrated and they have the potential to damage mucous membranes and stomach linings when consumed internally. You will read online that some Essential Oils are safe to consume internally – and this may be true. Let’s take another look at Peppermint. A large amount of the population love to eat peppermint flavored treats. These treats will only have a few drops of peppermint in them to create the wonderful taste we all love. The United Library of Medicine National Institute of Health has a report online that I read that told of a person that ingested a large amount of peppermint oil came into an ER in a comatose state. She was revived after 24 hours luckily for her. They did not know how much she ingested but they could smell the peppermint oil as it secreted from her body through perspiration and breath. Most of the time too much peppermint oil will only create Heartburn, Nausea, Diarrhea, vomiting. Yuck – Who wants that???

Please make sure you know what you are doing before taking oils internally. Some oils can kill a person with only a few drops ingested.

Essential Oils Safety Precautions

Since we know now that Essential Oils are very concentrated and need to be used with respect here are some precautions to think of before trying a new oil. Oils can cause skin irritation, can be toxic, can damage mucous membranes, damage stomach lining and even cause photo toxicity – which means can make our skin more sensitive to sunlight.

The best and most favored practice is to put a few drops of your oil of choice in a Carrier Oil – this can be whatever you like. Some choices are Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Almond Oil. Carrier Oils do not evaporate and it is best to choose an oil without an odor so that it does not change the aroma of the Essential Oil you are using. A carrier oil will help to dilute the essential oil so you can use it without skin and mucous membrane irritation.

Always look up information about the specific oil you would like to try – Check for

  • side effects if taken with any medication you may be taking
  • reported side effects in general
  • should the oil be used if you have high blood pressure
  • should the oil be used if pregnant, breastfeeding or if you are trying to become pregnant
  • is it safe for infants and children
  • is it safe around my animals

Healing with Essential Oils

Please do not read this article and decide that Essential Oils are too dangerous to try. Millions of us use them every day. Driving cars is dangerous too yet many of us drive every day. Download the PDF and use that to start your Essential Oil Journey. Mix a few drops of a new oil with a carrier oil and try it out on your skin in a small area to see how your skin will react if you have any concerns. Read about any side effects it may have and what external doses are best. Always use a carrier oil like coconut oil or almond oil along with your Essential Oil Concentrate. Check to see if it is safe while pregnant, breastfeeding or wanting to become pregnant. If pets are a concern, check out if the oil is safe around pets – or keep your pets out of the room while diffusing oils in the air.

Feel free to enjoy all the wonderful scents and healing properties that nature has to offer us.

Here are the PDFs I promised.

What Is Essential Oil Diffuser – Which One To Buy?

Posted by: | Posted on: January 24, 2021

What is Essential Oil Diffuser – I wanted to spend some time looking into the many types of Essential Oil Diffusers.

  • An Aroma Diffuser Essential Oil Diffusers uses a mixture of oil and water and can also keep a mist in the room along with the Essential Oil Scent.
  • A Nebulizing Diffuser does not use water – it uses pressurized air and delicately hand blown Pyrex glass and a wooden base.
  • An Ultrasonic Diffuser.  This type uses water to disperse the Essential Oils into the air.
  • Oil Lamp Diffusers that work similar to a kerosene lamp. In my opinion these are quite dangerous.
  • Candle Diffusers that are quite popular – These heat up your Essential Oils also and can change them a bit along the way.

All are effective in getting the scents of the oils in the air – my two favorite types are the Aroma Diffusers and the Nebulizing Diffuser. I will discuss both below.

Aroma Diffusers

Use water to disperse the Essential Oils of your choice into the air.  There are a few models that are very quiet – some models you can hear the water droplets falling as the unit is working. An Aroma Diffuser puts a small amount of oil into the air and the aroma will be subtle – not strong.  Many of these units are a small humidifier and even a night light as most tend to have colored lights as part of the design.  Very pretty.  These units can be very quiet and diffuse approx 400 sq feet.  It takes a while to fill the room with the scents yet it will work nicely given time.  These units are normally quite affordable and a great choice for someone new to Essential Oil Therapy.  Gives someone a chance to try it out on a small more affordable scale before jumping right in.  The aroma diffuser has plastic pieces inside and will need proper cleaning to avoid corrosion and mold from building up.  The cleaning is not complicated – this is just something to be aware of.  Your Aroma Diffuser can handle thick and thin oils yet it does not do well with Citrus Oils. Citrus Oils are more corrosive to the plastic pieces inside the diffuser. It is best to avoid these scents.

Amazon Essential Oil Diffuser

Amazon has many (mostly aroma diffusers) to choose from and in all different price ranges with many bells and whistles. Click on the link above for the Amazon Essential Oil Diffuser page. You can toggle back and forth from that page to this article. I will talk about one of my favorites below.

Anjou Diffuseranjou 300 ml diffuser

Anjou 300ml Ultrasonic Aroma Model Number AJ-ADA019 has a 5 star rating and has close to 5000 reviews! I would say this is a pretty good one. 🙂 It is reasonably priced at 24.99 and at the moment of this article there is a $6.00 coupon. They have a patented oil flow system that continually puts the scents into the air without the need to constantly add more essential oils.

If you like quiet, this is the one for you. With some diffusers you will hear water droplets throughout the cycle. Not the case with this model. It is super quiet so you may relax and rest and enjoy the peacefulness you are searching for. Less noise means fewer interruptions to your “me time”. Undisturbed working, learning, resting, sleeping – whatever it is you are seeking.

Two mist outputs that last up to 8 Hours. No need to worry about forgetting to turn your diffuser off – This diffuser will shut itself off when it detects the water level getting too low for safe operation.

All the Anjou Diffusers have the same basic system and bells and whistles – the difference is in the size and the amount of time they will run before needing more oil or water.

Reviews

Reviews on this model – At the time of writing this article – 89% of close to 5000 people that left a review, gave this diffuser a 5 star rating – stated it was quiet, it worked exactly as expected, was enjoyable. Ran a long time between refills. They were over all very pleased with this model.

There are at least 5 other models from the same company on the Anjou Amazon page and I cannot see how anyone could go wrong choosing any of these products. They all have a 4.5 to a 5 star rating with thousands of reviews. They have to be doing something right for sure.

Are their Other Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffusers?

The answer to this question is a huge YES. You can find Essential Oil Diffusers in a thousand different places. Amazon just happens to have a great place to view a ton of them and what is nice about shopping Amazon is you get reviews right on the pages – and questions that other users have left with answers so you can really read for yourself the struggles others have had and the successes as well. You can tell right away if something is going to suit you or be a big waste of energy, time and Money. No one like wasting time and money. Let us next look at one of my favorite places to purchase

Nebulizing Diffusers

These do not use water – They atomize essential oils into fine droplets which are then sprayed into the air in the room. With these units you will get the maximum effect from the oils. The nebulizing diffuser is a bit noisier – pure essential oils come at this small price.  They have a steady hum which is the air pump doing its job.  This steady hum does not stop me from enjoying my diffuser as you only should be running the diffuser for 15 to 20 minutes at a time as that is all the time you need to get the oil droplets to saturate the room with all of their wonderful qualities.  You do have to be careful of the thickness of the oils that you put in a nebulizing diffuser – You should only run thinner oils through your nebulizer.  Cleaning these units is quite easy – you return any unused oil back into it’s bottle and wipe off the glass of the nebulizer with rubbing alcohol.  Should your diffuser get clogged because you left the oil in for a few days – not to worry.  This can be easily cleaned up by soaking in rubbing alcohol and then wiped clean.  Nebulizing diffusers are very effective and easy to use and clean.  Below I will write about a company that has very cool nebulizing diffusers.  Enjoy.

Organic Aromas – Nebulizing Diffuser -Needs NO WATER

The Organic Aromas link above is another site – non amazon – that has 4.8 to 5 star diffuser ratings. What is really cool about this site is that you can purchase hand carved diffusers and personalized Essential Oil Diffusers. You can have your picture on the diffusor, or your family, your children, grandchildren, pets – whatever picture you want.

These are quite pricey yet the price is worth it. Every day there are people, pets, places and events that warm your heart as will your essential oil scents.  I truly believe these Nebulizing Diffusers to be the best way to disperse your oils into the room. These work without Heat or Moisture. Which means your oils release into the room in the purest form possible. This is a very safe way to disperse also since there is on heat, no added water, no plastic. Professional grade aromatherapy will fill the room.

Organic Aromas company has an A+ BBB rating and a Five Star Customer rating as of the date of this article.

Choosing an Essential Oil Diffuser

Wondering which Diffuser is right for you?  Here are a few things to think about before you decide.

Aroma Diffuser:

  • Oils Mix with Water which can weaken them
  • Aroma is Not as Intense
  • Small humidifier as well as a night light
  • Very quiet
  • Diffuses up to 400 sq. feet
  • Uses small amount of scents but takes time to fill the room
  • Plastic pieces inside need proper cleaning to avoid corrosion and mold
  • Affordable
  • Easy to Use and Clean
  • Can break down any oil no matter the thickness
  • Citrus Scents tend to wear parts down quicker

Nebulizer Diffuser

  • Oils are not diluted – Pure Oils disperse into the air
  • Uses approx 3ml per hour of Essential Oils
  • Oils scents are more intense
  • Just a Diffuser – not a small humidifier and most are not a night light
  • A bit noisier
  • Diffuses 1000 sq. ft.
  • Used more Essential Oil – Scents Happen Quickly
  • Made of Glass, Wood and Ceramic Parts – More Fragile
  • More Expensive
  • May require more frequent cleaning
  • Should not use with thicker oils unless oils unless diluting with a thinner oil first

You decide – and the great thing is – you cannot go wrong. If you are just starting out and want to see if essential oils are a good fit for your home and lifestyle then start out with the aroma diffusers that are around $20 to $50. Should you find you truly are enjoying your diffuser and want to try a more expensive and pure way to use your oils – move along to the nebulizing diffuser.

What Conditions Do People Use the Nebulizing Diffuser For?

Those people that are using the oils for more acute conditions – such as
  • Asthma
  • Flu
  • Sinusitis
  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Emotional Imbalances
  • Colds
tend to gravitate towards the Nebulizing Diffuser. The Pure Undiluted Oils fill the air more quickly. Recommendation is to use your Nebulizing Diffuser for only 15 to 20 minutes at a time and repeat 2 to 3 times a day.

Below are a few oils that can be an anti-inflammatory – which could perhaps help with asthma and respiratory conditions

  • Lavender
  • Eucalyptus
  • Roman Chamomile

Always consult a doctor before starting a treatment of Essential Oils and start with a small amount to make sure the oil is right for you.

Thank You for taking the time to read my article. I appreciate every person that comes here and I also am very happy when I can help someone along their way to using pure essential oils in their life and their home.

Thank You also to anyone that purchases from the links in my articles. The few cents I earn from the links in the articles pay for this site and allow me to continue to write to you. Thank You all and Please Stay Safe and Happy.

Essential Oils Clean Healthy Home

Essential Oils Can Heal Your Home!

Some of my favorite essential oils are

  • Lavender
  • Lemon
  • Eucalyptus
  • Lemongrass
  • Grapefruit
  • Lime
  • Tea Tree Oil

These make me feel calm, they renew my spirit, and create an
aromatic ambiance that makes my house feel like home to me. At first, I just used them in my diffuser but as I kept reading about essential oils I realized I could do so much more than just smell them and use them topically on my skin.

I was so excited the day I learned that these same essential oils can also have powerful “HEALING” powers for my home. I went right out that afternoon, bought some glass spray cleaning bottles and made up a few batches of Natural Cleaners. It was quite easy and fun and I enjoyed going through and cleaning with my new-found discoveries.

You don’t necessarily need to use glass cleaning bottles if you want to make up smaller batches and use them up right away. I just like glass containers best. If I know I am making a cleaner that I want to keep for a month or so I make sure I use glass containers to mix and store the product in. I will also use distilled water unless I am just making a small batch.

I felt great using the natural cleaning power of essential oils to freshen my home, I actually ditched all the old cleaners I owned that had toxic chemicals that could potentially harm my daughter, husband, and pets.

Here is what I use to clean my home. I hope you enjoy reading and please feel free to comment or ask questions by clicking on the comment link at the end of this post.

Home Made Olive Oil Furniture Polish Recipe

Oil moisturizes wood furniture – just like certain oils moisturize your skin. Made sense to me so I tried it and I Love it. I think you will too.

  • 1 cup Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Cup White Vinegar
  • 4 drops of Lemon Essential Oil

I only make a little of this at a time so that the Olive Oil does not get rancid. You can store it in a cool dark place and it will last quite a while. A couple months.

I spray this right on my wood furniture and buff it into the wood grain. I love how it looks when I am done and I know I am not putting a waxy build up on my furniture. The waxy build up from other wood polishes will need to be removed – if it is already present – before you will see the beauty this recipe will give.

Essential Oils To Clean a Wood Floor – Use This

This is what I use on my wood floors – as the recipe above is for furniture and it would be too slippery for floors.

You can adjust the amounts per scale should you want a smaller amount – instead of putting in a bucket you can put this in a spray bottle and spray on your floor and mop so in that case you would want to divide these amounts probably by 8. 2 cups of water, 1/2 cup of white distilled vinegar, 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol and 1/8 tsp of dish soap.

In a bucket mix together:

1 gallon warm water
4 cups white vinegar (distilled)
2 cups rubbing alcohol
***1 tsp liquid dish soap – The Original Dawn Works Great
(optional) Pure essential oil, not blends – The amount is up to you – depends how much scent you prefer.

*** It is best to use a plain detergent such as Dawn, the original. Dish soaps with added ingredients such as anti-bacterial or scents or something to moisturize your skin will have ingredients that will streak and change the outcome of the cleaner. Some folks will think to swap Castile Soap or Borax or other natural soaps for the dish detergent – this could leave streaks so it is NOT recommended.

Always use Distilled White Vinegar as using Apple Cider Vinegar will attract pests and leave streaks.

If your floors already have a build up of a film this recipe MIGHT take it off – depends on what the reason for the build up is. You could try this recipe without the detergent for the first few moppings to see if it breaks up the film. If there is no film build up at the moment then mix up this formula and mop away.

Enjoy
Connie

P.S.  I like this formula as it is streak free when mixed correctly and is not slippery on the floor – again when mixed correctly.  A site I recommend reading for more Safety At Home tips and concerns is Safety At Home – Helpful Information on Making Your Home Safe.

Kitchen Sink Cleaning Tips – Power Scour Your Sink

Here’s an easy DIY tip to create an all-natural kitchen sink scrub that smells divine. All you need is

  • ½ cup of baking soda,
  • ⅓ cup of vinegar, and
  • five drops each of bergamot and lime essential oils.

Mix ingredients in a glass bowl, dip in your sponge, and get busy scrubbing the sink. Rinse well with warm water, and you will have a clean shiny sink, without toxins. Bergamot has a light citrus scent and mixed with the lime really cuts the vinegar scent that often lingers after cleaning with straight vinegar.

How To Clean Pots and Pans

You’re probably cooking at home more than usual these days, which means you’ve got more pots and pans to wash. But don’t despair! We’re here to share the secret ingredient for all you master chefs who haven’t mastered the art of pan scouring yet.

It’s lemon oil.

All you have to do is clean out the pan as much as you can.

Then boil water in the dirty pot or pan, and add a five or six drops of lemon essential oil to the mix. The heated lemon oil will gently remove yucky stuck food clinging to your cookware. I remember when I was a kid my mom used to heat up water in the pans after we were done eating and then she would clean the stuck on food. Back then she didn’t know to add lemon – now we have lemon oil so easily available. Sorry Mom.

(You can also add a few drops of lemon oil to your dishwasher soap compartment to leave your dishes spot-free and citrus fresh.)

Want a Clean Shower Curtain Liner?

Don’t just clean yourself while you shower, keep your shower curtain liner clean every day too!

Fill a 4 oz. spray bottle with warm water and mix four to 6 drops of antibacterial eucalyptus essential oil and four to five drops of anti fungal tea tree oil into the bottle.

When you get into your shower – Spray your shower curtain.

I  went ahead and purchased a new shower liner because I did not want to clean the old one any longer. After a while you just have to get another one. I looked up how to keep the new liner clean and this is what I found. The heat from your shower will help dispense the oils and keep your shower curtain fresh and mildew-free.

Essential Oil and Mold

Mold and mildew are the nasty home invaders none of us want and we can’t wait to get rid of.

I run an essential oil diffuser in my bathroom for a couple hours each day. Sometimes I fill it with tea tree essential oil to kill fungus or I fill it with cinnamon leaf essential oil which is an antimicrobial.

I change it out depending on the season and my mood. I shut the door and run the diffuser for a couple hours to keep the microbes out of the air. For me it works great and hopefully you will find the same is true in your home should you try this.

Also, I mix

  • 5 drops of tea tree oil
  • five drops of grapefruit oil
  • 1 cup of white vinegar

to a spray bottle.

I spray problem areas I have identified previously with this mixture and it seems to really have taken care of the problem. I have not had a recurrence of mold or mildew since I started doing this. I owned a real problem under my sink because of a leaky pipe under the floor. No problem now. Got the pipe fixed also – Which was great!

I owned learned that grapefruit oil has a high citric acid content and helps to naturally neutralize mildew and mold spores. Spray problem areas in your bathroom and kitchen to keep your home clean and help stop mold!

What to Clean Refrigerator With? – Freshen Up Your Fridge

The truth is, your refrigerator is one of the stinkiest places in your house. Smells from pungent foods, like fish, can linger in your kitchen long after you’ve shut the refrigerator door. Using baking soda is a great way to absorb foul fridge odors, but there is another cleaning hack you should use to help keep your fridge even fresher.

Mix

  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 2 cups hot water and
  • 10 drops of your choice of either grapefruit, lime, or lemongrass essential oils

Mix these ingredients up in a spray bottle and use this solution to spray the shelves in your refrigerator. Let the solution set for a couple minutes to soak if there is a dried on spilled mess. This sweet-smelling solution will leave your fridge feeling clean and fresh. No more stinky refrigerator and all clean – without chemicals.

Keep Your Fruit Fresher a Few Day Longer with Essential Oils

Not really a cleaning hack but I remembered this when I was cleaning my kitchen today and thought I would mention it.

Want to make your fruit more appealing and stay fresher longer? Not too many of us like bruised apples or brown bananas. Try this essential oil hack.

Simply add 3-5 drops of lemon essential oil to a bowl of cool water and soak the fruit for a few minutes. Take it out and let it dry naturally on your counter before putting back in your refrigerator or wherever you like to keep it. This will help increase the shelf life of your fruit, leaving it bright and ripe for a few extra days.

Essential Oils for Parkinson’s Disease – Are There Any?

Posted by: | Posted on: January 15, 2021

So many folks suffer from Parkinson’s Disease. Far more than I ever imagined – I know quite a few myself. Made me wonder????

Are There Essential Oils & Natural Supplements for Parkinson’s Disease?

From what I have read – Unfortunately, at this time, there seems to be no Cure for Parkinson’s Disease. There are, however, some supplements that can help to relieve the symptoms Parkinson Disease brings to those inflicted with it.

What is Parkinson’s Disease?

Parkinson’s Disease is a neurodegenerative condition. It causes reduced facial expressions and tremors. The tremors take their toll on muscles making them stiff and rigid and sore. Parkinson’s causes normal everyday tasks to become difficult. Even walking and balance become increasingly difficult as the disease progresses.

The Answer is Yes – There are Natural Supplements That Help

There are a few Natural Supplements that can help to alleviate some symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease.  Natural Supplements

  • Co enzyme 10 can help our cells to obtain energy from oxygen.
  • Creatin increases levels of phosphocreatine, Phosphocreatine is an energy source for muscles and the brain. Creatin may slow down the progression of Parkinson’s Disease since it helps to protect us from nerve cell injuries. Also, it has been found that taking vitamin C and vitamin E together helped to slow down the need to take other medications – at least for a while.
  • Vitamin C & E Taken Together Some people that suffer from Parkinson’s, will try this Vitamin C and Vitamin E Supplement regimen at the early stages of the disease.
  • Curcumin is the spice that is in Turmeric – Curcumin has been known to help to protect nerve cells from damage.
  • Glutathione affects nerve cell metabolism – Glutathione seems to be depleted in the part of the brain that is damaged by Parkinson’s. Adding Glutathione might be a way to slow the progression of the disease.
  • Herbal Remedies that will assist with depression, sleep disorders and anxiety could be a big help to alleviate some symptoms of Parkinson’s.

If we cannot slow down nor cure the disease, we should hopefully be able to live the best way we can while coping with the symptoms.

As you have read in this article, there are Natural Supplements and Essential Oils that can make life as easy as possible. Not only for the person suffering from the illness but also for everyone that cares for them.

I am not a doctor – I do however known people that have Parkinson’s and it compelled me to write this article so that they can find some peace of mind and have a place to refer back to when wondering if there is something to try to help ourselves through our lives’ journeys.

This article is only meant to give you some ideas and to let you known you are not alone. I spent a lot of time looking around the internet to bring this information to one place – to save you time and energy. Always consult your doctor and before starting any natural supplements or essential oils – do a small test to make sure there are no adverse affects. Most of the time, when taken and used as directed – Natural Supplements, Herbs and Oils are well tolerated.

Best of Luck to you in your journey through life. Feel free to drop me a line – I enjoy helping people find a more natural way to live and it can be very interesting – there is so much to learn as life is constantly changing. We never known what is around the corner. One thing for sure – someone else is going through the same thing and we are all in this together.

I hope I have given you some ideas to try and I truly wish you the best.

Natural Supplements for Cholesterol Lowering

Posted by: | Posted on: January 8, 2021

Let’s take some time to discuss High Cholesterol and how natural changes and Natural Supplements can be Very Beneficial in Lowering Bad Cholesterol – otherwise knows as LDL and Raising Good Cholesterol – otherwise known as HDL. LDL clings to your arteries and causes blockage whereas HDL releases cholesterol from the arteries and is cleansing.

Why is High Cholesterol Such a Bad Thing?

All of our bodies need Cholesterol. Yet when cholesterol levels are too high we are in risk of

High Cholesterol has no symptoms – You will need a blood test to determine if you have high cholesterol levels. You should be checked by a doctor regularly to make sure your cholesterol levels are where they belong. Most people at lower risk factor – meaning children and young adults – not hereditary – usually can be tested every 5 years unless you start feeling poorly and just want to find out if high cholesterol may be playing into how you are feeling.

Garlic? The Best Natural Supplement to Lower Cholesterol?

For years, I have heard that Garlic is one of the best natural supplements lowering cholesterol. There have been many studies done and if you read around the internet you will find that there are many articles that do not support garlic as a good supplement to lower bad cholesterol. Sorry Garlic. You’ve been busted 🙁

Garlic is great for many other uses will discuss in another article later.

Combine a Healthy Lifestyle & Natural Supplements

In this article we have discussed that High Cholesterol can cause fatty particles to build up in your blood which can contribute to heart disease, strokes, high blood pressure, heart attacks and such. There are things you can do to maintain good cholesterol levels such as:

  • Keep your weight in check – maintain a healthy weight for your age, sex, and build – Overweight people are more likely to have high cholesterol yet thin people can be affected as well.
  • Don’t Smoke – Smoking makes your LDL cholesterol (the bad kind) stickier so it clings to your artery walls and clogs them up. Smoking also lowers your levels of HDL cholesterol (the good kind) which normally would take cholesterol away from the walls. Within weeks of quitting to smoke your cholesterol will be less sticky.
  • Exercise Weekly – Exercise helps you to lose weight and increases blood flow.
  • Get Enough Sleep – Too little sleep raises levels of LDL Cholesterol – Always try for over 6 hours of steady sleep.
  • Eat right – Avoid trans fats, and eat lots of green leafy vegetables, skinless chicken and omega rich fish – Drink Plenty of Water
  • Moderate Alcoholic Beverages – Drinking too much can lead to an increase in the level of triglycerides in the blood
  • Walk as much as possible – Regular physical activity can lower LDL and raise HDL – take a walk during your lunch hour if you sit all day at a desk. Your body will love you for it and you may even find you enjoy it.
  • Keep Stress Levels Low – Stress can trigger triglycerides which can increase LDL (bad cholesterol)
  • Boil, Bake, Broil, Steam, Grill and Poach Your Foods Whenever Possible – Keep out the oil that can contribute to clogging your arteries.

When diet and exercise do not seem to be doing the trick – consult your doctor and perhaps give some Natural Supplements a try. Taken as directed and purchased from a trusted source such as Botanic Choice could be a game changer for you. You can feel good putting natural substances in your body other than more synthetic medications that could cause additional problems down the road.

Make All Natural Bath Bombs – Use Natural Bath Oils

Posted by: | Posted on: January 7, 2021

Natural Bath Bombs seem to be the rage nowadays! Everywhere I look they are popping up like dandelions in the summer! I found several natural bath bomb recipes and wanted to share my favorite one with you. Read along and enjoy.

Natural Bath Bomb Recipe – Make Them Yourself

Natural Bath Bombs

Hand Made Natural Bath Bombs

  • 1 cup Baking Soda
  • 1/2 cup Citric Acid
  • 1/2 cup Corn Starch
  • 1/2 cup Epsom Salt
  • 1 TBSP Lecithin
  • 2 TBSP MCT Oil
  • 1 tsp Witch Hazel
  • 1 tsp Alcohol
  • 1 tsp Essential Oil
  • 10 drops Food Coloring

1) Mix together the dry ingredients first and then mix together the wet ingredients separately.

2) A little at a time – pour the wet ingredients into the Bath Bomb Dry Ingredients. Pour it in slowly and mix quickly as you do not want the citric acid in the bath bomb dry ingredients to start to fizz prematurely.

3) Add the food coloring last to get the desired color you are looking for.

4) When mixture is complete press it into any type of mold that you desire. I use Stainless Steel circle molds that look like balls of various sizes. (Example 1″ – 1.5″ – 2″)

This Bath Bomb Recipe will yield approx. four 2″ Bath Bombs.

If you would prefer – you can purchase already made bath bombs and that is alright too. How ever you get these wonderful items into your hands – you will enjoy them just the same.

Purchase Bath Bombs Made With Natural Bath Oils

Many people would just as soon purchase bath bombs already made. This is a great idea too. Whether you make natural bath bombs yourself or purchase them from someone else that makes them – you are still getting your hands on wonderfully scented natural skin care items.

The recipe above works almost all the time for me. I have had a few times, that for one reason or another, the bath bombs would not hold shape – even though I followed the recipe the same as I always do – they just fall apart in my hands when I try to take them out of the mold. I don’t worry on it too much. I just use that mixture as a loose mixture to pour in my bath water and it fizzes and smells great just like the bath bombs that stayed together do. So nothing needs to go to waste.

Should you decide to create the bath bombs yourself – read along and I will explain about some of the ingredients I use in my bath bombs.

Should you have questions, feel free to contact me below this article.

Natural Bath Oils – Also called Essential Oils

Essential Oils added to your bath bombs create the beautiful scent that fills your bathroom and soothes your soul. You may use any scented oil that you prefer. Some days I want Peppermint – To invigorate me, other days I want Lavender to calm me. Sometimes I want Eucalyptus to help soften my skin should it be dry.

You can find USDA Certfied Organic Oils at Amrita Aromatherapy 100% Pure Essence – They have some of the Finest Therapeutic Oils. There are several places to purchase Essential Oils to use in your natural bath bomb recipe. Be sure you are purchasing Pure Essential Oils for the best results and the least chance of irritation to your skin.

Yes, Essential Oils can irritate your skin, cause breathing issues, or create other health issues if you do not do your homework first. Essential Oils can be and are often very safe when used as directed. Nothing is ever 100% safe for everyone and one scent may irritate you while another scent is just perfect. I would suggest using bath bombs only once a week and one bath bomb only in your tub. If your skin starts to get irritated – empty the tub, shower off and discontinue use. Consult a doctor if you feel you need to. Most of the time it is a mild irritation and will be fine shortly. Always err on the side of caution. We are not doctors here and we are not giving medical advice. Not to scare you though. Just wanted to make you aware. Some people think that if something is Natural – It is Completely Harmless – This is not the case. We all need to be cautious any time we are adding something new to our routine and Natural Products are not the exception to the rule.

Which Carrier Oil Should I Use?

You may use any carrier oil you wish in your Natural Bath Bombs. Carrier oils dilute the Essential Oils so that they are safer to apply directly to your skin. Usually it is not recommended putting Essential Oils straight out of the bottle onto your skin. Some Suggestions of Carrier Oils are:

  • Sunflower Oil
  • Olive Oil
  • MCT Oil
  • Almond Oil
  • Avacado Oil
  • Grape Seed Oil
  • Hemp Seed Oil

I use MCT Oil in all my bath bomb recipes. This is just a personal preference. I had it around the house when I first started and it seems to be working wonderfully. Experiment with different carrier oils and see what you like best. In my opinion, there is no right or wrong here.

The Other Ingredients – How are they Useful?

I will talk a bit about the other ingredients in my Natural Bath Bomb Recipe

  • Baking Soda – Makes up the bulk of the bath bomb – this is a mild exfoliate and can soften dry skin
  • Citric Acid – Creates the Fizz
  • Epsom Salt – Soothes Sore Muscles
  • Corn Starch – Makes the Bath Water Silky and makes the silky feeling in your bath.
  • Lecithin – Keeps the carrier oil from coating your tub with oil.
  • Witch Hazel & Rubbing Alcohol – Used to make the dry ingredients moist so they will form correctly
  • Food Coloring – I just put enough in mine to create colored specs. I try not to use too much so that the tub doesn’t get stained.

Conclusion – Natural Bath Bombs

  • No wrong decision as to make them yourself or buy them. I offer Bath Bombs already made at Varrs Creative Endeavors
  • Use any Essential Oil that you fancy
  • There are quite a few Carrier Oils available – start with what you already have
  • The ingredients in the Natural Bath Bomb Recipe are All Natural – You may even leave the Essential Oil out if you need unscented bath bombs
  • If you choose to use Essential Oils – make sure they are 100% pure as at Amrita Aromatherapy
  • Remember – the Lecithin will help to keep the oil from the bottom and sides of your tub, please use caution getting in and out of the tub. Even with Lecithin there may be a little oil residue – the Lecithin sure cuts down on it a lot though.
  • Have Fun – Enjoy Learning – Or if you Purchase them – Indulge in a luxurious – aroma filled – silky – bath – once a week or a couple times a month. You deserve it – PAMPER YOURSELF.

Hope You Enjoyed My Article.

My Natural Living Start

Posted by: | Posted on: January 1, 2021

Natural Products WebsiteWelcome to Varrs Creative Endeavors. It is awesome that you have found Varrs. My goal is to create a website so that we can interact with each other, share ideas, learn new things each day and Enjoy the Process.

My Natural Living Story

Hello, My name is Connie. I grew up on a small farm in Upstate NY. We didn’t have any cows or pigs but we did have chickens, horses, dogs, cats and the occasional bob cat, raccoon, possum, coyote, coy dog, turtles, fish, deer, owls, woodchucks, skunks, fox, numerous birds…. so many wild animals wandering around – even time to time a Bear! (very rare).

I was fortunate to grow up this way – We had a garden and we foraged for berries for pies and jellies – so yummy thanks to my Grandma and all her baking and preserves. All Grandpa and Grandma had to say was “kids – if you pick some berries – we’ll make you jelly” – We were all hands on – Grandpa would pile us all in the car and off we would go. Grandma used to have to hide the jellies she made for us and only hand it out a little at a time for fear we would eat it all up right away – and she was right, we would have. LOL

Memories

I remember being at my Aunt’s apartment in town one day when I was about 7. We went to the grocery store (first time for me that I could remember) and I was laughing.  I asked my aunt….. Why do people pay money for potatoes and carrots and peas and tomatoes etc….. you can get it for free out of the ground!  I didn’t understand that some people didn’t have a garden. And why did people get meat from a store when all we had to do was go to grandpa’s freezer and get what the guys in the family had either got from the butcher or hunted and fished for? Needless to say, I didn’t get off the farm much back then.

Growing up that way was such a blessing I realize now that I am 56 years old with a child and grandchildren of my own. I got away from the natural living for quite a few years and one day realized why I was not content – I needed my country back. I needed to do things myself, create my own things, actually start living life again instead of picking my life up at a store. Not that there is anything wrong with that – It’s just for me not what soothes my soul.

Back Where I Belong

I started to research natural living and natural products. How to make cleaning products naturally and natural makeup. Creating my own medicines and tinctures – learning and taking from nature. I started to feel more content and peaceful and my life started to be more meaningful for me. I started to feel better – have more energy – I felt happier.

Make or Purchase Natural Products
