  1. Sage has long been valued in traditional medicine. It has been used to treat a wide range of ailments including coughs, asthma, bronchitis, angina, inflammation, depression, digestive and circulation disorders as well as other diseases in communities across the globe. As such it looks to be a very good and natural medicine.

As far as I am concerned, I have only read very good reviews for sage and clearly, sage oil appears safe for use,  even though the FDA does not regulate essential oils. I will keep this in mind.

I agree on there being so many to choose from.  I just recently learned about Clary Sage also and all it’s benefits.  Anyone can stick by the Lavender, Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Lemon, and Tea Tree for the majority of what ails you and for the wonderful scents each give off in a diffuser.  There are so many others and I will be going over all of them.  Feel free to click on https://varrscreativeendeavors…  to get a printable PDF with all the oils and their benefits.  Thank You

  3. I always stayed away from essentials oils because of safety precautions and health issues but recently my medic has advised me to try out essential oils as my depression level since the pandemic is increasing each day. Am still skeptical about using essential oils and since you seem to be an expert at this I would like to ask if they are really safe so I can try some. Am really concerned about the products I use.

I am not in the medical profession.  Since your medic advised you – I would talk to the medic and ask which oils would be recommended.  Try the oil in a small amount at first to see how your body reacts to it.  My personal experience with essential oils has been nothing but wonderful.  No negative reactions.  For depression people use a peppermint and Ylang Ylang mixture that is added to Coconut Oil or another similar oil.  Thank You for taking the time to comment here and Enjoy Each Day.

  4. Quite an interesting post you have on essential oils. I know they are quite popular to use, and I have some that I use as well. I frequently use tea tree oil to help in the healing process of small wounds or sores. I have used citrus in cleaning. I particularly found it very useful in the laundry. I made homemade soap, as well as homemade dryer sheets. The clothes came out smelling very clean.

  9. This seems very beneficial for woman, just for the fighting certain cancer benefits, let alone every thing else it provides.

I use sage on my food a lot for the benefits it provides with certain ailments in general. One question what are safety concerns if ingested not that that’s a thing just curious in case someone wanted know do to having little ones running around their house.

    1. Connie Varricchio

Good thought – I never recommend to anyone taking essential oils orally unless they have done their research on it and consulted their doctor. Some people do put a drop or two drops of Clary Sage in their tea to use to calm down and to create balance.   And it is of course highly recommended to keep all such things out of reach of little ones. Since Clary Sage can promote sleep I would get whomever took this too much to a hospital right away.  Call 911.  I am not a medical professional.
